What does a Solutions Architect's day look like? We sat down with Ren to find out. This is the first in our new Employee Spotlight series - real conversations with the people behind MirrorWeb.
What's your role at MirrorWeb and what does a typical day look like?
I'm Ren, Solutions Architect on the Pre-sales team. 🛠️
I love digging into the messy technical problems so our Account Executives don't have to. My goal is to clear the road so they can focus on their actual superpower: building relationships and ensuring firms have the tools they need to stay compliant .
Day-to-day, you'll find me hopping on demos, answering questions in #product-q-and-a, and building enablement content.
What makes the role special here at MirrorWeb is that I report directly to the Product team. I take real customer insights from the field and feed them straight to Product. It's an amazing role where I get to work on both "what we sell" and "what we build."
What’s a recent win you're proud of?
Work win:
Building The Rencyclopedia.🤖🧠 (Forgive the name - it started as a side toy project, but it stuck!)
It's a shared Claude project that scans our Slack and Notion to answer the team's product questions instantly - and if it gets stumped, it automatically escalates to #product-q-and-a. Now, our Sales team gets instant answers without waiting on me or the product team. But the best part? Seeing it inspire the rest of the team to start using AI in their own daily workflows. That's the real win.
Personal win:
Painted my powder room maroon with Roman Clay. Surprisingly, it didn't teach me anything about B2B sales.
Which MirrorWeb value resonates most with you, and why?
Every Day Matters. 🚀
It's not just a catchphrase (though Josh definitely makes sure we never forget it) - it's a lifestyle. We move fast, we don't wait for "perfect," and we get stuff done today. Plus, it keeps the energy high and the boredom low.
What excites you most about where MirrorWeb is heading?
Think about it: How many companies in the world are actually capable of knowing how employees communicate across every platform - socials, text, emails, WhatsApp, even iMessage? 🤯
We have that visibility. And if we can take compliance data - which many firms treat as a checkbox exercise - and turn it into a superpower with AI 🦸, we're helping companies actually understand their data. It's compliance that drives decisions, not just documentation.
What do you love about the MirrorWeb team?
I love that we're scaling without losing what made us great in the first place: Culture and Innovation. ✨
We're tackling complex problems for some of the biggest financial firms in the world, but we haven't lost our sense of fun. I love that I can be deep in a technical architecture session one minute and sharing Peepo memes in Slack the next. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. 😊
