DevOps Engineer

The role

We and looking to recruit an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our exciting business. We're looking for people who will think outside the box, don’t settle for the status quo and who will look to create impact from day one.

The role involves assisting the CTO in moving MirrorWeb to a full DevOps/Agile culture and furthering development of infrastructure as code, automation and continuous integration and delivery is paramount.

 

Experience

You will have demonstrable experience of:

  • Full AWS Cloud Platform
  • The practices of continuous integration and continuous delivery, eg. Jenkins, CircleCI
  • Linux operating systems (Amazon Linux, Centos, Debian)
  • Automated provisioning tools like Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Networking, monitoring, security, alerting.
  • Familiarity across different programming languages, such as: Python, C++, Golang, NodeJS
  • Experience of scripting, eg bash, python, etc
  • Version control, eg Git.

Knowledge of the following will be advantageous:

  • Serverless technology e.g AWS Lambda
  • Containerisation technologies e.g Docker, AWS ECS, AWS Fargate etc.
  • Sentry.io, Datadog, Jira, Pagerduty, Azure AD.

The role

We and looking to recruit an experienced Brand/ Marketing Manager to join our exciting business. We're looking for people who will think outside the box, don’t settle for the status quo and who will look to create impact from day one. The role involves assisting the CMO in developing and delivering a fully integrated sales and marketing strategy across all channels with full autonomy to build and develop our internal marketing team and function.

 

Experience

You'll have experience in digital marketing, social media, PR and events, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to develop engaging strategies for communications with clients and prospective clients.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • clearly articulate company positioning to internal sales teams and agency roster
  • plan and execute integrated multi-channel campaigns
  • work closely with PR agency to position the company as a thought-leader
  • management of social media channels
  • event and exhibition support including collateral, logistics and sponsorship packages
  • coordinate rollout of product updates and manage streamlined process across
  • email, advertising, promotional items and PR

You will have demonstrable experience of:

Our Technology

Our Tech stack comprises of AWS, AWS Lambda, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript and C++.  As an AWS Partner, we work closely with their Solutions Architects to help us create, innovate and deliver cutting edge functionality.

We work with many organisations in the public and private sector.  Our clients range from National Archives to financial institutions to broadcast media.  We provide high traffic web interfaces, faceted full text search, big data indexing and analytics in the cloud and multi-platform archiving capability.  Our clients use our services for compliance or risk management, brand protection and maintenance of historic records.

We have archived the last 22 years of the UK digital history as one of our recent projects.

The role

We are recruiting for an experienced Front-End Developer who is passionate about user experience.  You will be delivering UI requirements for clients as well as owning the UI development for our internal tools.  As well as our existing clients, we have some exciting prospects in our sales pipeline which will mean the pace of development, integrating new technologies, and rapidly evolving requirements will all be key challenges in this role.

Furthermore, concepts such as elastic search and big data also need to be combined into user experience so if you are looking for an opportunity to make an impact, take ownership and deliver slick technically advanced user interfaces, this opportunity could be for you!

Being the first front end developer in our team, you will be working very closely with our Chief Product Officer and development team to deliver amazing user experiences.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Working alongside our Developers and QA Engineers to re-design the front-end for our client facing and internal applications
  • Developing and maintaining new and existing high performance websites while utilising best practices in the development and architecture of web applications
  • Contributing to shaping the developmental strategy, processes and methodologies for front-end development
  • Understanding and delivering best practices in UI Development, including design, semantic HTML mark-up, CSS, JavaScript and related technologies
  • Attending meetings with our commercial team and communicating with clients to gather, understand and define requirements
  • Working with senior stakeholders and management teams

 

Key Skills Required:

  • Proven track record in Front-End Development with a strong focus on user experience
  • Strong experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Keen eye for detail and strong creative skills

In addition, it would be advantageous if you have:

    • Experience of working with Python or Flask
    • Used template Engines such as Jinja2 or Django
    • Delivered compelling designs and wireframes (UI)
    • Worked on enterprise level data driven projects
    • Experience of building out fast search interfaces

Following recent significant VC investment, we are going through an exciting stage of growth and are currently building our team of digital and marketing specialists, we have a superb opportunity for a PR, Content & Social Media Manager with a strong digital bias to join our marketing team based in Manchester.

 

 

The role

This strategic role would suit a PR and experienced content writer who will help us to communicate MirrorWeb’s purpose and story to a wider audience. Reporting into the Marketing Director and joining a small and dynamic team you will be responsible for developing our communication strategy, across social, digital, events, and marcomms. This will involve planning and executing our PR and communications strategy, to deliver effective campaigns, managing social media channels, and creating compelling content to widen the understanding of the MirrorWeb brand and web and social archiving.

 

To be considered for this role you will possess a proven track record in PR, content and social media, coming from a digital background. In addition, you will have a rounded understanding of producing effective content and driving media coverage. You will have a track record of identifying and reaching out to influencers and transforming them into advocates. Being able to demonstrate experience of driving ROI through engagement campaigns and social media is key as is enthusiasm for engaging with our Clients and communicating their stories.

 
This will be a varied and exciting role where you’ll have the opportunity to get stuck into everything from social media management to researching and writing press releases and content campaigns. You’ll be responsible for:

    • Building and developing relationships with key journalists and media influencers
    • Writing engaging content for newsletters, email campaigns, website articles/blogs and press releases as well as other opportunities we can secureMaximise content opportunities across all digital platforms
    • Research Industry topics and identify opportunities for MirrorWeb to become Thought-leaders and contribute with articles, interviews etc
    • Planning and posting social media content across LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
    • Provide content and social support for Marketing Events/Exhibitions
    • Evaluating campaigns and producing monthly reports
    • Developing and implementing PR communications plan
    • Manage communications for multiple stakeholders including our external Partners and Affliates

What experience you’ll need:

    • Proven experience of delivering outstanding PR and social media results within a B2B software / technology sector.
    • It goes without saying that your communication skills will be second to none, you may have even gained experience as a journalist or an editor at some stage in your career, whatever the case, a flair for writing is essential. 
    • You will come with bags of experience within the PR and communications world.
    • You will have a solid track record in developing and executing communications plans that utilise a wide variety of media, including various digital platforms/channels for clients.
    • You will have incredible relationship management skills, coupled with the perfect blend of traditional and digital PR skills, specifically social media – organic and paid.
    • Experience of setting and delivering against KPIs for communications and demonstrating personal and collective impact
    • Google adwords / Social media platform analysis expertise
    • Experience of using CMS systems, social media platforms, HubSpot CRM
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
    • A friendly and enthusiastic approach with a Can-Do Attitude
